Summary 

Biodel AG is a purpose-driven company that believes climate change is the greatest threat mankind has ever faced and provides the technology and strategy for AG landowners to sequester large volumes of carbon into the soil. The company has developed Sequester Soil Amendment, a cyanobacteria-based formulation, that offers AG landowners of all sizes an effective, low risk and economical method to transition to regenerative practices.

Venter PR’s objective is to develop and launch the Sequester brand and e-commerce, raise visibility for the company, build credibility, educate growers and to generate customer and investor leads.

 
 

Challenges 

There is 400 M acres of intensively farmed land in the USA. That is the land where crop inputs are applied, and the greatest volume of food production comes from.

Today, approximately 5% of that acreage (5 M acres), can be categorized as regenerative.  Biodel AG’s market focus is the remaining 95% of Intensive Farmland that will transition to Regenerative Practices in the coming 30 years.  That acreage estimate does not include Canada and Mexico, both of which are large AG producers. To reach these farmers, a consistent marketing campaign with a budget generated from fundraising is needed.


Strategy 

Venter PR managed the development of Sequester’s branding strategy, brand identify design and full e-commerce website design and development.

Venter PR announced the launch of Sequester and developed the marketing strategy to reach commercial AG producers, large AG landowners, and residential/small farmers.

We have implemented storytelling, quality content development, and a distinctive brand to drive business value that helps customers:

  • Decrease salinity in the soil by converting sodium ions to calcium ions

  • Save water by aggregating soil particles

  • Reduce fertilizer use via nitrogen-fixing autotrophs

  • Cycle carbon to sequester CO2


Results

Managed development of brand identity for the Sequester product line; defined core values, purpose, mission and vision for Biodel Ag; and value propositions for customer profiles.

Developed brand assets, including Sequester messaging, fundraising investor deck and crowdfunding profile, new Sequester website with full e-commerce, product overview collaterals, and social media strategy.

Developed lead generation campaigns, educational content, newsletter and media strategy.

Launched Sequester and implemented programming. Ongoing: Conducting outreach, growing, and nurturing leads for conversion.
