Melanie is the founder and CEO of Venter PR, a boutique marketing and communications firm formed in 2010 in San Diego, CA.
Through a thoughtful, comprehensive, results-oriented process, and years of experience, Venter PR builds and activates custom communications and marketing programs to increase brand awareness that directly results in sustainable growth for companies in a wide range of industries.
In her eighteen-year career, Melanie has led successful PR campaigns for a wide range of projects, from Fortune 500 corporations and government initiatives to tech startups. She is a visionary communications professional who works daily with top-tier national and international media and serves as a spokesperson on behalf of companies.
With every project, she has always prioritized initiatives with a shared core value—innovation.
Melanie has strategized the successful launches of several clean tech startups, and secured worldwide, top-tier media coverage, including a front-page story in The Wall Street Journal. She has managed the communications for groundbreaking scientific achievements, including the creation of first synthetic bacterial genome.
Melanie managed the announcement of the largest investment to date ($600M) in clean energy R&D from Exxonmobil for Synthetic Genomics, Inc, and introduced the first plant-based wetsuit from Yulex and Patagonia.
At Venter PR, Melanie continues her career-long trend of contributing to technological, economical, and environmental change through strategic communication and marketing.
